Organizations and individuals using Voicepanel to configure and administer projects ("Users") determine the purpose and scope of projects and control how Respondent Data is collected and used. Voicepanel provides the technology platform and processes data on behalf of Users.

#1. Our Role in Projects

For Respondent Data:

  • The User conducting the project is the data controller (or equivalent under applicable law)
  • Voicepanel acts as a service provider or data processor
  • Users determine:
    • The purpose of the project
    • The data collected
    • The lawful basis for processing
    • How project results are used

When you participate in a project, you may submit responses or other content directly through the Voicepanel platform, which may include:

  • Written or typed responses
  • Audio recordings (including your voice)
  • Video recordings (including your image or likeness)

  • Survey responses or open-ended answers

The specific information collected depends on the project and is determined by the User conducting the project.

#Information Collected Automatically

When you access a project, we may automatically collect limited technical information, such as:

  • IP address
  • Device type, browser type, and operating system
  • Timestamps and interaction metadata
  • Log and diagnostic information

This information is used to operate, secure, and support the platform.

#3. How Respondent Information Is Used

Respondent information is processed to:

  • Facilitate and administer projects on behalf of Users
  • Enable Users to analyze project results
  • Operate, maintain, and secure the Voicepanel platform
  • Provide technical support
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

Voicepanel does not use Respondent Data for advertising or marketing purposes without consent.

#4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Voicepanel does not sell Respondent personal information.

  • With the User conducting the project
  • With service providers supporting Voicepanel’s operations, subject to confidentiality and data protection obligations
  • When required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Voicepanel, Users, Respondents, or others

Voicepanel retains Respondent Data only for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the Voicepanel services
  • Fulfill contractual obligations

Voicepanel is headquartered in the United States and processes Respondent information using systems and infrastructure located in the United States.

Where personal information originating in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland is transferred outside those regions, Voicepanel relies on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

Because Users control Respondent Data, requests relating to project participation should generally be directed to the User conducting the project.
